The talent show was a super personable host who goes by the name Batman supporting brave kids getting up there and sharing what they can do and there was not a dry eye in the place. Every night after dinner the staff puts on a family friendly hoot of a show then the action moves to a family friendly dance party that transitions into a night club experience. We arrived during the resort's Body & Mind Weeks program which runs from April 29th – June 3rd at this property. During these weeks, the resort becomes the ultimate destination for rejuvenation from the inside out. After all, Club Med Sandpiper Bay is known for it's Mini-Club. So much more than babysitting, Mini-Club not only cares for children from morning til night, but they fill their days with all the fun things the adults get to do….and more!
We're talking swimming, circus, flying trapeze, tennis, skateboarding, crafts, cooking and more; plus, it's all included as part of the Club Med experience. Their mall spa offers a variety of treatments, include various massages, facials, and body scrubs, with the option of having some of these treatments outdoors in a riverside palapa. Some of the aerobics, stretching, and body sculpting classes take place there, weather permitting. But until now, I thought that a perfect family vacation where everyone was happy all the time was impossible to achieve. I had come to terms with the realization that during vacations we usually have a hard time finding a place to eat where everyone is happy and that family vacation means doing kid-friendly activities only.
That was until we found Club Med Sandpiper Bay and that is why I wanted to share with you why we think that Club Med Sandpiper Bay is the perfect vacation destination for active families like mine. Recently refurbished, Sandpiper Bay is an all-inclusive resort in Florida, perched alongside the St Lucie River. A two-hour journey from both Miami and Orlando, it's perfectly positioned for exploring this beautiful area; head for Miami's colourful Little Havana and famous Art Deco street or north for some fun in Orlando.
Club Med Sandpiper Bay is not only the only all-inclusive family resort in Florida but also in the USA. Located just 1 hour from West Palm Beach Airport, Club Med Sandpiper Bay is a stone's throw away from the beautiful city of Port St. Lucie, Florida. The family resort is located perfectly in the middle of Orlando and Miami, meaning you're close enough to Orlando for the world-renowned theme parks, and also the vibrant city of Miami. You'll enjoy chauffeur driven transport to all parks! The excellent location will also make you feel like it's a multi-city holiday with so much to explore. Take advantage of the all-inclusive resort's award winning sports facilities, rated by many as one of the best in the world.
Being active and staying healthy while having fun on our family vacation is important to me. My idea of the perfect travel destination combines luxury and comfort with fun activities, exciting new experiences and an opportunity to relax and unwind while also staying active and staying fit. When we travel we usually have to plan everything to ensure that everyone is getting to do something they love. At Club Med Sandpiper Bay all we had to do was look at the schedule and chose what activities we wanted to do independently and which ones we wanted to enjoy as a family. Club Med has long had one of the best childcare programs in the industry, with a nursery and kids camps that nurture all children, including those with special needs.
The quality is due to the professional staff, imaginative facilities, range of activities, and emphasis on wellness and an active lifestyle. According to one manager, the resort's goal is to enroll 60% of guests under 18 in kids' programs, and on busy weeks the Kidz Village may host up to 400 children. To underscore its commitment to fighting childhood obesity, Club Med has a dedicated Baby Gym stocked with soft-sided play equipment and G.O.s who train parents how to use it. Nylon crawl tubes, blocks, and climbing areas are designed to promote gross motor skills among Club Med's tiniest guests.
Sandpiper Bay sports — open to all ages and abilities — include fitness, running, triathalon and volleyball in addition to golf and tennis. Club Med's signature circus classes and watersports complement other activities. The comprehensive spa treatments come from the on-site Spa by l'Occitane. Image courtesy of Club Med Sandpiper BayThe Kids Club is open to kids from 4 months to 17 years of age, which allows a nice balance of family time along with adult time.
There are age appropriate classes available during both daytime and evenings and all activities are included in the Club Med Sandpiper package. Activities include tennis and sailing for older kiddos as well as endless sports and interactive activities for all ages. Service style is a bit Hi-De-Hi but the sports are all expertly organised. Tucked along the St. Lucie River between Miami and Orlando, Club Med Sandpiper Bay is perfect for sports retreats and relaxing breaks between visits to Florida's famous theme parks and cities. This all-inclusive family resort in Florida has something for everyone, from our kids splash zone to our adults-only infinity pool. Improve your form at our Sports Academy with top coaches in tennis, golf and football.
Try your hand at wakeboarding or sailing on the river. Or spot alligators with the kids on an airboat ride through the mangroves. Explore Florida your way at Club Med Sandpiper Bay. Although there are only three restaurants and only two open for each meal , I can't say anything bad about the food. Because I was here for product training, my schedule was pretty full and I ate at the buffet for all of my meals.
I have a problem with buffets where I can't seem to say no to anything that looks good so I tried a LOT! There are many different stations - salad, cheeses, soups, a carving station, pizza, chinese, curry, vegetarian, burger/hot dog, italian and dessert. Each station had a different choice for lunch and dinner and there was nothing repeated during the four days that I was there. There is an adults-only room to eat in if you are without children and plenty of seating, indoor and out, for everyone. The other option for dinner is their steak and seafood restaurant, which I didn't try, and requires reservations. One other thing - if you only remember one thing about the food, remember chocolate bread.
Club Med in the United States, it is the only true all-inclusive resort in the U.S. This means that not only are all of the food and drinks included in your cost, but there are lots of activities for children as well as for adults. Club Med is a French-owned company and because of that, there are more Europeans here than you might find at other resorts. I personally like the diversity and think it's especially great for kids.
What I loved about Club Med Sandpiper Bay was the staff was so fun and inviting. I loved the adults only area pool, it was in a beautiful spot on the river and so peaceful. I do think if I travel to the property with my family they would love the main pool as well. For an all-inclusive stay with a focus on sports, Sandpiper Bay is the ideal Club Med Resort for an active family vacation. Located between Miami and Orlando, you can make the most of visiting other great American cities during your Florida vacation. But when I checked prices for the summer, I was excited to see that a three-night, all-inclusive stay for my family of three would set us back just over $1,500.
While not inexpensive by any stretch, we'd enjoy all of our food, drinks and activities on property — including a kids' club. And that rate booked us right into a superior family room, with a separate area with bunk beds for our daughter. The formation of Club Med Academies totally alters the tennis chemistry at Club Med, Sandpiper Bay. On the most basic level that means you can look forward to high-quality instruction even in the clinics that are part of the all-inclusive package.
But now, you also have the option to make tennis the centerpiece of yours—or your family's—Club Med holiday by opting into tennis camps that run two hours a day for adults and as much as five or more for juniors. Take in the spectacular views of the Saint Lucie River while dining at this pool-front, non-smoking restaurant. Offering a range of international dishes, including Asian, Italian, Mexican and American cuisine, you'll never run out of scrumptious options to satisfy your every craving.
If you're looking to make healthier choices throughout your stay, look no further. We also offer a great selection of low-calorie, guilt-free dishes that are sure to delight your appetite. Open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, this buffet-style eatery is the perfect spot for the whole family to chill-out while they munch-out. Club Med Sandpiper Bay in St. Lucie also has infant and toddler programs, some for parents to enjoy with their littlest travelers and others designed to give parents a little free time. Other small-children's activities include Baby Gym, Arts Studio, Zumbatomic and a series of toddler activities such as crafts and water games. Club Med Sandpiper Bay is not an oceanfront resort.
